Ken Lima-Coelho has a non-stop supply of ideas and the skills and talents to put them into action. He’s creative to his core and it comes out in everything he does.
On this episode, host Angela de Burger chats with Ken about connecting with audiences, the magic of a capella, collaborating on creative initiatives, and using creativity to build community and bring attention to social causes.
He’s a founding member and performer with the Heebee-jeebees, a celebrated a capella quartet. They’ve released nine recordings and been recognized with 4 CARA nominations and 2 CARA Awards (the Grammy of a cappella). They’ve won the Canadian Championships of Harmony twice as well as multiple international championships, and been inducted into the Canadian A Cappella Hall of Fame!
In the other part of his professional life, he’s worked as a journalist at CBC (the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and he’s a senior leader in the charitable sector who is focused on, and excels at, community engagement.
On top of all of that, he’s a dedicated volunteer in his community, championing social causes he believes in.
